Turkey Apple Sausage

This is the perfect alternative to eggs for breakfast. If you are needing to rotate eggs becasue of a food sensitivity or just needing a fresh flavor.. look no further! This is a delicious light protein option thats easy to make and kid-approved with apple bites!

  • 1 pound organic ground turkey

  • 1/2 large organic apple, peeled and diced

  • 1 handful spinach, remove stems and chop

  • 2 tsp maple syrup (optional)

  • Dash of garlic powder

  • Dash of dried sage

  • Sea salt & pepper

  • 1 tbsp ghee (for cooking)

MAKE:

  1. Mix all ingredients together

  2. Heat skillet then add ghee to pan.

  3. While pan is heating roll turkey mixture into a balls about the size of a golf ball.

  4. Place half the turkey balls onto skillet. ( do not over crowd)

  5. Spray the back of a spatula with non stick spay. Press down on the balls with spatula to make into a patty shape.

  6. Allow to cook for a few minutes then flip and allow to cook for a few more minutes. Add more ghee if needed.

  7. Repeat the steps 4-6 with the rest of the balls.

  8. Turkey is done when internal temp reaches 165F.
